Tributes have poured in following the death of Dolly Parton, the beloved country music icon who died Tuesday at 80 from cancer.
In Massachusetts, Gov. Maura Healey lit several bridges in pink Tuesday evening in her honor. “We will always love you, Dolly,” Healey wrote on social media.
Newport Folk Fest’s executive producer Jay Sweet, who met Parton when she played the festival in 2019, told Boston.com, “I’ve never been in such close proximity with somebody who truly deserves sainthood.”
