Tell us: What are the 9 albums ‘that made you’?

Tell Us

A viral trend has people picking their most formative albums. What are yours?

See any of yours here? my9albums.org

If you’re a music fan — especially a music fan of a Certain Age — you have probably seen evidence of the “My 9 Albums” trend in your social media feeds. Originated by the website my9albums.org, it allows users to “pick the 9 albums that made you,” and create a graphic displaying their covers.

Fans of classic rock in particular seem to have taken up the challenge, with album covers from Pink Floyd, the Beatles, and Fleetwood Mac turning up over and over (and over). But ’90s kids are also represented — Radiohead’s 1997 album “OK Computer” is currently the most-shared album, according to the site’s top 100 list — and with artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Lana Del Rey also moving up in the tally, it seems the younger set is catching on as well.

It got us wondering: What are the nine albums that “made” Boston.com readers? Let us know via the form below which discs you’d pick (at least one, but you can list up to nine), and also what Boston- and Mass.-specific album would make your “top 9.” (Or email us at [email protected].) We may use your response in an upcoming article. 🤘
