K-pop superstars BTS prepped for their Gillette shows at Planet Fitness in Downtown Crossing, apparently
Jeon Jung-kook, a.k.a. Jung Kook, a.k.a. The Golden Maknae, documented the visit on Instagram.

According to Forbes Korea, the K-pop super group BTS — which spent the last two nights delighting fans at sold-out Gillette Stadium shows — has earned more than Taylor Swift this year. But that doesn’t mean they don’t appreciate the appeal of a bargain workout.
Several members of the group — Jung Hoseok, Kim Taehyung, and Jung Kook — were spotted working out at Planet Fitness in Downtown Crossing earlier this week, and The Golden Maknae (that’s what they call Jung Kook, please try to keep up) even documented the visit on Instagram. And yes, they did wipe down the equipment — BTS is nothing if not a courteous gym patron.
The unannounced visit caused a stir among Boston Planet Fitness members, in particular those who are BTS fans and who did not pick that particular time to work out. “I’ve made multiple workout videos in that exact same location! That could have been me right there!” sputtered Kyle.worksout in a reaction video on Instagram, before dropping several frustrated F-bombs and offering to work out with the group after their Thursday show. “I’ll show you around any Planet Fitness you want!”
The question of course remains as to whether Jung Hoseok, Kim Taehyung, and Jung Kook are card-carrying members of Planet Fitness, or if they were brought in as guests by some gracious PF Black Card holders. (That’s the membership level that allows you to bring in guests, and also use the HydroMassage.) According to the gym’s public relations professionals, “they visited the club organically on their own,” which we think may be a sneaky way of saying that if you are a K-pop superstar, you can work out at Planet Fitness no matter what color your card is.
