
SWAT team, police respond to home with barricaded person inside

A SWAT team swarmed an East Bridgewater neighborhood Wednesday night after police said someone barricaded themselves inside a home in the area.The incident started at 7 p.m. at a residence in the 200 block of South Street, officials said.Upon arriving at the scene, East Bridgewater Police requested assistance from the Southeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (SEMLEC) SWAT unit and specially trained officers who are part of the unit. State Police were also on scene, officials said.Late Wednesday night, police said the situation was under control. It’s not clear what led up to the incident.
