
School bus damaged, SUV rolled over, following crash on I-93 in Mass.

Firefighters, police and tow trucks responded to a crash in the northbound lane of Interstate 93 near Exit 43 on Wednesday involving a school bus and a Jeep SUV with New Hampshire license plates.The Massachusetts State Police said troopers from the Andover Barracks were called to the scene of the crash shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday.Troopers at the scene said the school bus was carrying 14 children at the time of the crash, but they do not have any reported injuries.Additionally, troopers said the SUV had rolled over as a result of the crash and the driver was transported to a nearby hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.Sky 5 video showed the badly damaged SUV rolled over on the highway, along with the front of the school bus, which was damaged as well.Troopers were seen outside the school bus with a Lawrence Public Schools school safety vehicle next to the bus, although it is not yet clear whether the bus, which is operated by NRT Bus Inc., was being used by Lawrence Public Schools.During the response to the crash, troopers said a hit-and-run occurred, when a black Toyota struck an Andover Fire Department firetruck which was blocking the right-lane of the highway, and fled the scene.Troopers said they had a basic description of the car over the radio.Sky 5 video showed tow crews working to tow away the SUV, while heavy traffic was seen in the area of Exit 43 as a result of the crash.The crash scene was cleared by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.Troopers said crashes remain under investigation
