Plane crashes into residential neighborhood near airport
One person was pulled from the wreckage of a small plane that crashed into a New Hampshire neighborhood on Friday morning, officials said. The Beechcraft 99 plane crashed in the area of Colonial Drive at approximately 7:30 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said. That neighborhood is located less than 5 miles south of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.Photos and video from the scene show a massive response from numerous police and fire departments. According to the FAA, the pilot was the only person aboard. The Londonderry fire chief told WMUR the pilot was extricated and taken to the hospital with unknown extent of injuries.The flight, Wiggins Air Flight 1046, departed from Manchester and was headed to Presque Isle, Maine.The National Transportation Safety Board will conduct an investigation into the crash, an FAA spokesperson said.
