A Massachusetts father is furious after he says that his 5-year-old daughter was left on a school bus for hours, alone and cold, this week.Christopher Matton said his daughter, Riley, was signed in and picked up by Trembley’s Bus Company at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday. She fell asleep during the ride. According to the father, the staff at Kiddie Kampus in Dartmouth didn’t help her off the bus when it arrived at the school and the driver didn’t check the bus after returning the vehicle to the bus yard in New Bedford. Matton said his daughter sat on the bus for approximately five hours, until almost 2 p.m., in the cold. She was strapped in, crying and screaming for help and urinated in her pants during the wait. According to the father, his child’s teacher told the family she was up the whole previous night due to personal issues, and it was an honest mistake.”Take the next day off, or something, if it’s that much of an issue at home in your personal life,” Matton said. “That should be left at the door when you’re walking into a facility to take care of minor children where these kids are supposed to feel safe.” A spokesperson for Kiddie Kampus said in a statement, “We are thankful that the child is home safe with their family.
