Firefighters were battling a multi-alarm fire inside a historic, Victorian-style home in the city of Lawrence, Massachusetts. The fire broke out before 3 p.m. inside a home from the late 1800s on Salem Street in Lawrence. Video from the scene showed intense fire coming from the first floor of the historic home. “We had heavy fire in the first floor, extending out the windows into the second floor, heavy smoke throughout the whole building,” Lawrence fire chief Brian Moriarty said. Firefighters had to rescue at least one person from the third floor. Three residents were being treated for smoke inhalation. No firefighters suffered any injuries battling the blaze.
