Woman, man dead after overnight double shooting in Brockton, Massachusetts, DA says

A woman and a man are dead Tuesday after an overnight domestic murder-suicide in Brockton, Massachusetts, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office said.Police first responded to a home at 524 Ash St. at around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, which is not far from the Brockton Fairgrounds.District Attorney Tim Cruz said the woman, 56-year-old Sheron Towers, was found with a gunshot wound in the home’s driveway. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where she later died, Cruz said. A man, identified as Carlos Brown, 61, was found dead inside the home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, Cruz said. Cruz said it appeared Towers was “ambushed” in the driveway when she returned from a vacation to Jamaica. No information was immediately released about the nature of the victims’ relationship. The incident remains under investigation. The shooting scene is about 2 miles away from where a 27-year-old man was shot and killed on Easter morning.
