A dramatic car crash was caught on camera in Georgia.It occurred outside South Gwinnett High School when a speeding vehicle flipped multiple times after reaching speeds close to 100 mph, in the same spot as another high-speed police chase days earlier.Sparks flew as the car flipped repeatedly after hitting speeds nearly triple the limit.The police chase began on Highway 78 in Snellville, the same location as a street racing arrest days prior.On May 1 around 11 p.m., Snellville police reported that an officer clocked a driver going 90 mph in a 35 mph zone. However, the driver accelerated further.”The officer was sitting in the exact same position that the other officer was sitting in,” said Jeff Manley of the Snellville Police Department.Manley explained that the officer involved in the chase has significant experience in racing cars off duty and is well-trained in the pit maneuver.After the driver weaved through traffic, she attempted to make a turn near the school and lost control.”Struck the curb and flipped the vehicle over multiple times,” Manley said.Video footage showed the driver, 22-year-old Taylor Marie Brooks, crawling from the wreckage.Fortunately, no one else was injured.Brooks now faces felony fleeing charges in addition to speeding.”You kill somebody else on the road, it’s vehicular homicide,” Manley said.The area, which has seen repeated dangerous driving incidents, may now see increased patrols.
