Boston police say they are searching for a suspect who struck more than a dozen vehicles with a car they had stolen.According to police, a car was reported stolen in the downtown area on Monday and was being tracked to the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.The owner of the car, Dennis Harrington, said he was at a job site when his vehicle was stolen.“I was working on a truck doing stone on a building and someone goes: ‘Hey, a car like yours just drove by.’ I look over and go, ‘Oh, that is my car,’” Harrington said. “There’s not a car like this in America. This thing’s one of a kind.”While officers were searching for the vehicle, police said they received a 911 call shortly after 2:55 p.m. regarding a car that had crashed into between 15 and 20 vehicles in the area of 392 Centre St.Luan Dia said his brand-new Lexus sedan was among the vehicles that were struck by the stolen car. Dia’s Lexus has heavy damage to the front bumper and fender on the driver’s side, and he said a neighbor’s home surveillance camera captured the moment it was hit.”Basically, he kind of stalled, and then he floored the car, which made the back tires spin, and he couldn’t turn in time. And my car was apparently in the way,” Dia said.The 911 caller also reported that the driver who struck those vehicles had fled the area on foot.Boston police said officers who responded to the Centre Street area found the car involved in the hit-and-run at 12 Leslie St. and confirmed that car was the vehicle that was stolen downtown. There was major damage to the front end of Harrington’s car, a Buick Grand National, which he said is valued at more than $200,000.”It’s been in the shop the last year getting a brand-new motor, everything done over,” Harrington said.Officers are still looking for the suspect, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
