A driver is seriously injured after they crashed while driving their vehicle in the wrong direction on the American Legion Highway in Revere, according to police.Revere police say the crash happened at about 4:30 a.m. Sunday.According to police, the injured driver was traveling south in the northbound lane of the highway, which is also known as Route 60, when they were struck by another vehicle.The wrong-way driver had to be removed from their vehicle by Revere firefighters, who used a hydraulic rescue tool to get them out.That driver was transported to an area hospital. There has been no update on their condition.The driver of the other vehicle that was involved in the crash is OK, according to police.
