More and more Latin artists are taking center stage on late-night television in 2021. The latest is Sech, who made a breezy appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday (May 6).
Shot at the beach and joined by a group of dancers, a DJ, and a tequila bottle, the Panamanian urban artist presented his single “Sal y Perrea” from his third studio album, 42.
The track, which in a nutshell means to go out and dance, is an empowering reggaeton about forgetting your sorrows and having fun.
The album, released April 15, was born “fully in the pandemic” and a tribute to his Afro roots. Sech calls it “his best project.”
“It’s all me, without thinking about numbers or the industry. It’s me opening my heart,” he previously told Billboard. “My brother found a notebook of mine where I would write my feelings when I was younger and I decided to turn those feelings into songs. The first one I wrote was ‘911.’ All of these songs are real and part of my life.”
