Logan Airport traveler numbers surge for school vacation week

School vacation is underway this week in Massachusetts and that means some families are headed out of state for the first time in a year. The TSA reported nearly 1.3 million people were screened nationwide on Saturday – a steep climb from just more than 97,000 on the same day last year. Under the state’s travel advisory — which took effect last month — anyone who has been out of Massachusetts for more than 24 hours is asked to quarantine for 10 days or produce a negative COVID test. But that is no longer required. People who are fully vaccinated are exempt from the travel advisory.bo
