On 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place's season 2 finale, Selena Gomez's character, Alex Russo, dies… for now. The wizard makes the ultimate sacrifice when she falls through a portal in order to save her family. It's also discovered that Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) is Alex's daughter. Billie comes together with Justin (David Henrie), his wife and kids and they commit to finding Alex, leaving the door open for Selena's potential return. The series streams on Disney+. Source
