‘Wicked’ star Cynthia Erivo grabbed pizza at a popular Cambridge restaurant
The Wicked star likes pizza, just like us.

The stars, they’re just like us. When Cynthia Erivo isn’t belting tunes in blockbuster hits, winning awards, or interacting with screaming fans, it turns out she’s eating pizza.
The ‘Wicked’ actor grabbed a bite at Source, known for its pizzas made with locally-sourced ingredients, before parading through the square Wednesday to celebrate her Woman of the Year status from Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals. She also stayed at the Charles Hotel nearby, according to a spokesperson.
Erivo ordered a vegan pizza topped with red onion, roasted red peppers, and broccoli rabe and Source’s Brussels sprouts appetizer, according to owner Daniel Roughan.
He said she loved the design of the modern gastropub and pizzeria, and Erivo was “gracious.”
“Cynthia was a true presence of theatrical class and old Hollywood elegance,” Roughan said. “Her smile captures the room, and her humble grace makes you feel like you are chatting with an old friend.”
Roughan also gave Erivo Source merch before she attended the Hasty Pudding parade.
She was named Woman of the Year by the theater group and received the iconic Pudding Pot award at the Hasty Pudding celebratory roast that same evening, the Associated Press reported.
“We are holding space for Cynthia Erivo’s arrival,” Man and Woman of the Year Events Coordinator Hannah Frazer said in a statement before the parade. “We’re sweeping out our broomstick closets and prepping some wicked smart humor as we eagerly await her in February. Before she flies off with her Pudding Pot, she’ll have to work a little magic to earn it.”
Mad Men star Jon Hamm was the theater group’s Man of the Year. Past female honorees have included Jennifer Coolidge, Anne Hathaway, Katharine Hepburn, Viola Davis, and Meryl Streep.
