Tell us: What was your top live entertainment event of 2025?
We want to know what local concert, comedy show, or theater experience stands out from the last year.

Let’s face it: One look at Boston.com’s concert reviews from 2025 and it’s clear that old people, and people who appreciate old people, had a lot of cool live concerts to choose from in Boston this year.
Stevie Nicks. David Byrne. James Taylor. Cyndi Lauper. Patti Smith. Heart. Elvis Costello (twice!). All made swings through Greater Boston in 2025, much to the delight of GenXers and boomers who are still inclined to actually motivate out the door to see their favorite old-timers do their thing on stage.
But the over-60 crowd were far from the only highlights when it came to Boston’s concert stages. Kendrick Lamar and Sza lit up Gillette. Noah Kahan stripped down (musically) for a charity show at MGM Music Hall. Lorde wowed TD Garden.
And, in a category all by itself, the concert that made international headlines: Coldplay at Gillette Stadium, where a kiss cam snafu captured the imaginations of snarky memesters around the world (and, sadly, ended some marriages and possibly a career or two).

Throw in country stalwarts like Morgan Wallen and Thomas Rhett, millennial favorites like My Chemical Romance and the Jonas Brothers, and young’uns like Renee Rapp and Role Model, and it’s hard to pick a favorite. (And that’s before even considering festivals like Boston Calling and the new, almost-rained-out Seisiún Irish Fest.) There were also great stage shows like “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” and the Huntington’s “Fun Home,” and comedy brilliance from SNL favorites like Marcello Hernandez, Sarah Sherman, and Andrew Dismukes.
We know we can’t pick a favorite, so that’s where you come in. List your favorite local (i.e. in Massachusetts) concert, play, musical, lecture, comedy show, etc. from 2025 in the form below, or e-mail [email protected], and if you’re so inclined, let us know what made it so great. We may include your response in a future article.
