AT THIS HOUR, THE SCENE IS CLEAR, BUT YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE SOME OF THE MARKINGS THAT WERE SPRAY PAINTED ON THE STREET HERE AS PART OF THIS INVESTIGATION INTO THE CRASH, WHICH SENT A WOMAN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH SERIOUS INJURIES. NORTH MAIN STREET AND BATTLE STREET FOR PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT. THAT’S THE DISPATCH CALL JUST BEFORE 630 THIS MORNING. SKY FIVE SHOWS THE SCENE ON THE GROUND. FIRST RESPONDERS WERE RUSHING TO HELP THE VICTIM. WE HAVE CPR IN PROGRESS. BROCKTON POLICE SAY THE VICTIM, A 37 YEAR OLD WOMAN, WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL WITH SERIOUS INJURIES. THE DRIVER DID STAY ON SCENE AND IS COOPERATING WITH INVESTIGATORS. MID MORNING, THIS WHITE MINIVAN WAS PUT ON A FLATBED, NOTICED THE DAMAGE TO THE FRONT END. IT IS MAJOR BUT PALES IN CONTRAST TO THE INJURIES. THE VICTIM SUFFERED. ACCORDING TO WITNESS JOSE ESTRELLA. WHEN I SEEN IT, I GOT SHOCKED. I STOPPED, I LOOKED, I WENT OVER THERE, SHE WAS SHAKING. I PUT A BLANKET OVER HER BECAUSE SHE WAS SO LIKE. LIKE COLD. STATE POLICE AND THE PLYMOUTH COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY’S OFFICE ARE LEADING THE INVESTIGATION. RECONSTRUCTING THE CRASH TO FIGURE OUT HOW THIS TRAGEDY HAPPENED. AND AT THIS HOUR, WE ARE AWAITING AN UPDATE ON THE VICTIM, AS WELL AS WHETHER ANY CHARGES WILL BE FILED AGAINST THE DRIVER, WHO, AS WE SAID, DID STAY HERE ON SCENE AND IS COOPERATING WITH THIS INVESTIGATION.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Brockton, Massachusetts.The 37-year-old woman was struck just before 7 a.m. at North Main and Battles streets.The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries.The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, officials said.”When I seen it, I got shocked. I stopped. When I looked, I went over there. She was shaking,” witness Jose Estrella said. “I out a blanket over her. She was so, like, cold.”The woman’s name has not been released.The crash remains under investigation.
