‘Some sort of purpose’: Oklahoma man offers to rehome spiders

While most people’s normal reaction when seeing a spider is to kill it, an Edmond, Oklahoma, man is asking people to rethink that decision and call him. An arachnid enthusiast, Nicholas Krueger catches spiders, taking a vial and scooping them up and out of your house, free of charge.”I’ve always loved spiders,” Krueger said.Krueger has loved spiders since he was a kid, when he picked up his first brown recluse spider.”I just became completely enthralled with all animals and vertebrates, especially scorpions, things like that,” Krueger said.But his biggest focus is spiders, mainly venomous spiders. Those spiders could be around your property, and he wants to help.”Instead of having somebody come out and spray a bunch of poison, they can let me get it, and it’ll have some sort of purpose,” Krueger said.He said he’ll come over to your home for brown recluse spiders and black widow spiders and it’s free of charge as long as you’re within 30 minutes of Edmond.”It’s a way for people to get rid of the spiders that they don’t want in their house for whatever reason — for it be for kids, pets, or general fear,” Krueger said.He said he sends them off to research centers, zoos and more. He even breeds them in his home and has named some of his eight-legged friends.”I think everybody can agree that Cheez is pretty cute.
