Man accused of stabbing parents in Reading

A man faced charges Tuesday after he was accused of attacking his parents with a boxcutter in Reading, Massachusetts and fleeing the scene.Police received a 911 call at 12:13 a.m. reporting a stabbing on Bond Street, where police found two victims suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds.Christian Alexander, 27, was taken into custody at 3 a.m. after he was spotted by an officer, police said. Alexander was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of assault to murder.”Both the victims are expected to survive their injuries. They were transported to Lahey Hospital,” Reading Police Department Chief David Clark said. “It was an isolated incident. An officer who was searching the area located him, recognized him from the description and took him into custody without incident.” According to the police report, Alexander told officers, “I just had a psycho attack. I didn’t mean it,” and he asked, “Is everyone at the house OK?”When an officer apologized for a slight delay during the booking process, Alexander allegedly said, “You don’t need to apologize. I just tried to kill my (expletive) parents.”The victims’ names have not been released. Alexander was arraigned in Woburn District Court and held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
