Man, 89, dies after being hit by vehicle on Pleasant Street in Franklin
A pedestrian died after being hit by a vehicle in Franklin, Massachusetts, Monday, police said. The victim, Ugo Ciannavei, 89, of Franklin, was hit by a single vehicle in the area of 354 Pleasant St. at about 8 a.m.A medical helicopter was initially requested, but Ciannavei was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation by Franklin police, Massachusetts State Police and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.
