Surveillance video captured the moment a disguised thief walked up and stole a package from the porch of a Watertown, Massachusetts home in broad daylight.”Come on, man. You’re going to make a couple hundred bucks off of this, maybe,” said Ben Davini.Davini has lived on his quiet Watertown street for five years and says he’s never had any issues, but that’s changed.Minutes after a FedEx delivery driver dropped off his new phone, a man dressed as an Amazon driver walked up and took it.”He was just following the FedEx truck and I think they’re looking for boxes that hold an iPhone or an iPad or something like that. So it’s easy to get up, steal it and walk away real quickly,” Davini said.According to Watertown police, there have been four recent reported package thefts.”Unfortunately, package thefts are not unusual and it is a widespread problem that spans well beyond Watertown,” police said.Davini was shocked to find himself a victim of package theft and hopes it will get resolved soon.”I filed a police report, I’ve contacted my company,” he said. “Hopefully, I’ll have a new phone within the next couple of weeks.”
