After officiating Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, Adam Sandler played pickup basketball in this Mass. vacation hotspot
Comedian Adam Sandler surprised a group of pickup basketball players in Massachusetts by jumping in for a game on Sunday, less than 48 hours after officiating Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding in New York City.

After serving as officiant for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s star-studded wedding at Madison Square Garden on Friday evening, Adam Sandler finished his weekend with a much lower profile activity.
The New Hampshire-raised actor headed down to Nantucket, where Sandler jumped into a game of pickup basketball with a random group of players on Sunday.
According to the Nantucket Current, Sandler called the non-emergency police line looking for info on where he could potentially find a pickup basketball game, with dispatcher Chris Reynolds pointing the actor to the Backus Lane court off Surfside Road.
Among the players who posed for photos with Sandler afterward were Eli Leventhal and Andrew Kesler, who told Boston.com that Sandler was a “good dude” and “a very nice guy.”
As for Sandler’s on-court skills? “His passing was elite,” Kesler said.

Sandler has made a habit of playing pickup basketball wherever he goes with whoever is willing, and often makes time for fan photos afterwards — including one instance in which a still-sweaty Sandler joined a couple’s wedding photos.
Beyond random games of five-on-five with the general public, Sandler has also hooped it up with the BU men’s team and shot around with Kevin Garnett during their work together on “Uncut Gems.”
True to form, Sandler was spotted mere hours before Swift and Kelce’s wedding playing basketball on a local court in New York City amidst sweltering temperatures.
Sandler, who cast Kelce in “Happy Gilmore 2,” reportedly wrote and performed an original song for the pop star and All-Pro tight end’s nuptials.
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, who attended the wedding and has coached Kelce for his entire 13-year NFL career, shared that Sandler gave the couple some “touching” wedding advice during the ceremony.
“He said kiss every chance you have, every day,” Reid told CNN. “Whether you’re going to bed or going to work — wherever, whenever, go ahead and kiss her.”
